# On Founding Skillmonger

Hey, 
I'm Dom, solo founder of Skillmonger.

I love AI and technology. I think the primary purpose of technology is to make peoples' lives *better.* 

I also love markets. I think commerce and incentives are powerful forces that can shape our world for the *better.* 

I want to add a *human touch* to the AI experience... because it's much needed. AI will always give you an answer. I want to make sure you get the right answer, and help you have *trust* in that answer. I think the best way to do that is by creating a marketplace for *people's* unique skills, deep experience, and hard-earned expertise.

That's why I want you, the human experts, to *get paid* for your expertise in a totally new way. AI helps people do things they never could before, thus making *human* experience, ingenuity, and judgement more important than ever before.
 
I think the world needs a new platform for the age of AI - I call it "micro-consulting". Like twitter pioneered micro-blogging and Uber pioneered the sharing economy, we're pioneering the "micro-consulting marketplace". You answer questions *from AI assistants* on your own time, so that people on the other end get the high quality, trusted answers that they deserve. When you answer those questions, you get paid - quickly and easily. Your talents are valuable, your "side hustle" can now be answering a few emails on your couch after your day job.

Lastly, I want to share my vision of the future. I believe strongly in the vision of autonomous personal AI assistants. You are going to have an AI executive assistant that handles daily tasks for you - scheduling, shopping, planning, note taking, and more. A great executive assistant has to coordinate with other people on your behalf. Skillmonger is going to be the bridge from AI assistants to the real economy of human expertise.
